Card Class and Sale-a-bration

Sunday Card Class was fun.  We were on a roll making Sale-a-bration cards.  Even with just the three of us...wait four counting Peanut the dog, we had a blast.

Here's Adrienne getting into her projects. I'm so proud of her. She's a beginner stamper, but was a real trooper as I kept pulling out more and more cards for her make.  I originally planned to make 8 cards, but we ended up making 5. We're going to continue with more projects next month when Cheryl has her Private Class.

Here's Cheryl with her dog Peanut.  Cheryl is excited because she just got a Big Shot for her birthday.  I'm delivering it to her today!

We love Peanut hanging out at class with us. She is so incredibly sweet, but her stamping skills still need to be developed.  Ah, just kidding.

If you live locally, please come and join the fun. We meet in Lower Lake, California. Maybe you live around Lake County and want to make a scenic drive to the country. I'd love to see you at class.

I will continue to offer 2 classes in Lower Lake each month.

  • Stamping 101 meets the 2nd Saturday of the month from 10am-noon.Fee is $10 or FREE with a minimum $20 order.
  • Card Class meets the 3rd Sunday of the month from 1pm-5pm (drop in during those hours, but allow 2 hours to make you projects). Cost is $15 or FREE with a minimum $20 order.

Party time at Socorro's

This weekend I enjoyed sharing a Private Class with my friend Socorro and her dear family.

I planned a special class for them knowing Socorro, my hostess, enjoyed cute projects.

Since my friends were new to stamping, I started with an easy project that included punching, sponging and a little bit of stamping.

Here is Christina holding up her first project.  Awesome job Christina!

Here's a closeup of our card.  The idea came from a tutorial by Tami White.

Our second project was a bunny box, also from a tutorial by Tami White.  This is called punch art.

Our final project used a cute Sale-a-bration stamp.

All of the Sale-a-bration products are super cute.

Valentine's Recovery

Happy post-Valentine's to you all.  I hope you everyone had a fun time with your loved ones.

Here are some little Valentine's I made for my co-workers.

They are little matchbox cards. I used a tutorial I found from The Stamp Doc.

There's a little candy inside that I stuck inside with a glue dot. You can see how the staple keeps the flap closed to make the matchbox. Really easy!

Valentine's is still in the air for me since it's my anniversary weekend  I will have been married to my husband Kevin for 19 years on February 19. It's been an amazing time. Not all perfect, but I've seenGod work a lot in our lives and He continues to do more.

Hope you're keeping love in the air.

Hugs & blessings,
Angela

Pals Blog Hop - Stampin' Up! Products We Love

2013febhop_badge
Thank you for joining us for the February Pals Blog Hop! Today the Stampin' Pretty Pals are excited to introduce you to the Stampin' Up! products we LOVE. We hope you find new ideas for using the products you already have - or find new items to add to your wishlist.

You should have just left stop number 11 on the Pals Hop - Diane Roberts at Score at Four and a Quarter.  If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

My card uses last week's Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration.  It's my Valentine's card for my husband. I wanted to make something with a little frilliness, but still masculine enough for my special man.

I picked the designer series paper from the Print Poetry collection to give a "royal" background. I embossed the label and crowns in gold and stamped the sentiment in Raspberry Ripple.

The stamp sets I used include Four Frames for the label, Tiny Tags for the crowns and Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment.

I added an Antique brad and a piece of 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Raspberry Ripple to add a little extra touch of class.

The Stampin' Up! products I LOVE are the ones that coordinate together
and make my stamping experience easy.

For example, I used the Four Frames stamp set with the Decorative Label punch because they coordinate so perfectly together.

But isn't that what LOVE is all about?

Share your love with others and have a Happy Valentine's Day!
Hugs & blessings,
Angela

Inspiration from my sister Theresa

Here are some cards my sister Theresa made. Aren't they just stunning?

Her first card is stamped with the Everything Eleanor stamp set using the triple stamp technique and Crumb Cake ink. The bow was made using Crumb Cake Seam Binding.

Her second card uses many of the items she found on the Clearance Rack including retired the Blushing Bride card stock and ribbon.  She used Twitterpated designer series paper and the Curly Cute stamp set for the sentiment.  The flower is is embossed with white embossing powder using the Mixed Bunch stamp set.

Beautiful job Theresa!

Hugs & Blessings,
Angela

What's in my craft bag

Today I'm sharing about what's in my craft bag.  My craft bag is truly a wondrous thing.  It holds my many treasures that I can grab when inspiration strikes and creativity is flowing.

Here's a video I made to share with you.  So what's in your craft bag?

Hope you're having fun today. Valentine's is just around the corner and I still have lots to do.

Hugs & blessings to you all,

Angela

Miracles Happen

My friend Shannon made this card on her very first night of stamping. It was our last project of the night and we used the Sale-a-bration stamp set Bloomin' Marvelous. What's so neat is that she designed it all on her own. Wow. So beautiful.

Then after making it, she turned around and gave it to me because she knew what a crazy week I was having  How nice it is to get a card from a friend.

Yes,
miracles happen.
Having a friend who cares is such a gift.

Hugs & blessings,
Angela

Love in real red

Last night I spent a wonderful evening making cards with my friend Shannon.

This was Shannon's first time stamping and we both had a blast. Drinking a bottle of champagne together also added to the fun!

Our first card was a really simple.  We used just one color of ink (Real Red), two colors card stock (Whisper White and Crumb Cake) and one stamp set (You are Loved).

The "Love" label was punched using the small oval punch and decorate label punch. We added a few pearls and matching Real Red Taffeta Ribbon.

So pretty!

I would love to have more people at my classes. Stamping is so much fun and super easy! No special skills are needed. Anyone can do it!

If you live in the Lake County area, I am here for you!  Use my services! Invite a few friends over and I'm there. Contact me at angela@kindredstampers.com to find out how it works. I will even drive to your home in Napa, Sonoma or Mendocino Counties if you have a minimum of six people in your class.

I plan to continue to have classes in my home town of Lower Lake, so for you local folks, be sure to get on my mailing list to stay informed.

Love to you all,

Hugs and blessings,
Angela
