Picture Perfect meets Pals Paper Arts

I'm so excited about sharing a little bit of the ocean in this week's Pals Paper Art Challenge. It's a simple design, but so amazing too.

Here is the Sketch.

I started by stamping the starfish using the Picture Perfect stamp set.  This is a beautiful 18-part stamp set that uses multi-step stamping to create stunning images.

Here is a closer look at my Starfish which took 2-layers of stamping. I stamped the first layer in Soft Sky, and the second layer in Basic Gray.

TIP: I used my bone folder to prop up the starfish which almost makes it look like a real one!  I glued the starfish in place with Stampin' Dimensionals to maintain the shape.

Notice the wonderful transparent layer that the starfish is floating on? It's an exclusive printed acetate card included in the Sale-A-Bration Memories in the Making Project Life Specialty Card Collection. I used the full-size of the card as a background. So easy!

TIP: The acetate card is glued down with glue dots placed under the starfish and sentiment.  That way it looks like the white flowers are "floating."

Here is the stamp set. Love it!

Here is the new hostess code this month:

YK9KHFQE

Please use this code when you place an online order with me.  As a thank you, I will be  send you a special card! If your order is over $150.00, please take advantage of the Hostess rewards.

Thanks everyone!  Hugs and blessings, Angela

My February Paper Pumpkin

I got my Paper Pumpkin this month and went to town creating several different cards with the supplies that came with the kit.

My first card was made using the card base provided in the kit.

I stamped and punched out the sentiment and added a band of Blackberry Bliss card stock. The butterflies and scalloped circle are punched from Tangerine Tango card stock.

For my next card, I stamped my own background.
I used the stamps from my Paper Pumpkin Kit
and Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango and Soft Sky ink.

Here is one more card I made using the supplies from the kit including a patterned card base, sentiment stamp and fun embellishments.
It was so easy making these cards with the stamps and supplies that came in my kit.

Here's how to get your own Paper Pumpkin!

Will you "Bear" to be My Valentine?

Here's a cute little Valentine's Day card that's perfect for the fuzzy-hearted.

I stamped my little bear friend with Chocolate Chip ink on Crumb Cake card stock that's cut as a 3 x 5 note card.

Here he is again holding his heart a little closer. He's such a cutie!

The Bear Hugs stamp set comes with lots of fun accessories that can be used to dress up the "baby bear" and the larger "mama" or "papa" bears.

Here are more cute ideas using this stamp set.

January Paper Pumpkin: Cute Conversations

Love is in the air—and if you’re a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, it’s is in your mailbox too! Our hearts are full of love for the January Cute Conversations kit. This sweet kit includes 30 paper hearts that are not only adorable, but double-sided too. Speaking of doubles, this kit has dual-purpose—you can make heart treat pockets and a banner. We decided to use 12 hearts for a banner and 18 to make nine treat pockets.

But, as we all know, the fun never stops with the planned purpose of Paper Pumpkin. (Say that five times fast!) Here are some more adorable ideas for this kit.
If you love the idea of décor, but want to spread the love a little more, you could make this cute hanging heart. Don’t you LOVE the use of the sequins? (Insert all the heart-eyed emojis here.) This would be such a fun, non-treat gift for any sweetheart on your Valentine’s list.

If you’re steering away from treats, use two hearts to make a card and write a little note inside. Add a few embellishments to sweeten it up and this is sure to steal a few hearts on the day of love!

There are so many cute greetings in the stamp set that you’ll want to use on other stamping projects like this Love You card. The cute polka dot background is from the new Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper, stamped with a few little hearts from the Cute Conversations set.

Here’s another fun treat packaging idea using the Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags. Easily turn the printed hearts into a cute tag and embellish to your heart’s content!

Pick up some refills (while supplies last) so you’re all set for Valentine’s Day.
Remember, Paper Pumpkin is on sale for Sale-A-Bration! You can get a 3-month prepaid subscription for just $55 and instantly qualify for a free Sale-A-Bration item. Click here to learn more.

Happiest of Birthdays

I'm finally getting my card in for the Pals Paper Arts (PPA) color challenge.

The challenge is to use the colors Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo and Basic Black.

This is not a hard challenge because all of these colors are great!

I used lots of stuff from the new Occasions Catalog like the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set, Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and It's My Party DSP.

Here's my card. Happiest of Birthdays to you.

I stamped the sentiment with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and assembled it using the Lots of Labels Framelits.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy stamping!

Hugs & Blessings, Angela

Pals Blog Hop "From the Heart"

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for January 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are showcasing projects using Stampin’ Up! products featuring a theme from any of the following: Valentine’s Day; Thinking of You; Get Well; or Sympathy. All of these themes come “From the Heart.”  We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

I'm sharing from my heart with a message for you to "enjoy the little things."  Time is too short to not take a moment to smell the roses.

Even as I was making this card, I had to stop and notice my inky fingers.  Who doesn't get inky fingers when stamping?

My inky fingers then reminded me that I was getting time to do something that I really love - stamping! I don't know about you, but this is precious time for me.

So that's my moment of sharing.
Move on and don't forget to
"enjoy the little things."

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
