My "Hey Chick" Swap Card

I love my chickens. Here's a picture of my rooster and hen sitting together in one of their favorite hang out spots. Aren't they just so handsome?

Because I love my chickens, when I saw the new Sale-a-bration stamp set called "Hey, Chicks," I knew I had to get it.  You can get it too starting January 4 when Sale-a-bration products will be available for you to order!

This stamp set is great! It's super cute and perfect for making lots of cute cards.

When I designed my card, I really wanted something with a country look. So I used a combination of colors including Crumb Cake for the card base, layered with Real Red and Dapper Denim.

All together I made 32 of these cards which I sent out last week to my card swap organizer.  Later in the week, the organizer will send me 32 different cards back that were made by 32 other stampers who also participated in the swap.  I can't wait to get them!

I became so enthusiastic about this card that I just had to make a video to show it off even more. Here's my video!

You can make this card too!  Here are the products I used.  Note that the Hey Chick stamp set is not available until January 4.

Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for December 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects showcase products that can add sparkle and/or shine for a finishing touch. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

My shiny project is a simple card that I made using the "It's a Celebration" stamp set.

The images are stamped with Soft Suede ink. But doesn't it look like gold?

Here's a close up view.
I wanted you to see the texture of the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I think it adds a nice contrast to the card.

I love how easy it was to make this card. It would be a good choice for mass production.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Saying Hello with Paper Pumpkin

I got a little behind making my October Paper Pumpkin Kit, but I figured it that it's still fall so I had time.

This week I made up several cards following the Stampin' Up! example. But then I made a couple of alternate designs using additional materials from the kit. Here's my first alternate card.

The color choices for inking the leaves was inspired by Tami White. The colors are so pretty together...Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Delightful Dijon. There's also touches of Real Red and Soft Suede.

Here's another alternate card.  I just moved things around a bit and added a few sequins.

Here's the set of cards that I made following the Stampin' Up! design. They're shaker cards. I sent them out to several of my customers as thank you cards.

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription that gives you so much!  This is just an example of one month.  Every month is something new and always fun to make!  Learn more here:  Paper Pumpkin

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, Angela
