Inspire, Create and Share Day

Stamping News

Today is Inspire, Create and Share Day!

First to INSPIRE, I will share a Four Paneled Print card using the Friendly Wishes Stamp Set and Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper. The design was inspired by stampingschool.com. See the list of supplies I used below.

It was a fun card to make and I love how the different panels of designer series paper coordinates so well together.  Stampin' Up! really makes it easy for us to coordinate colors and designs.

For CREATE, I will share the Weekly Deals for this week so you can do some creating on your own. I myself ordered the black ribbon and metallic doilies. I can't wait to create some new cards using these items!

Finally, I want to SHARE information about the classes I am offering in August. Yes, it's already time to talk about August!

Click here to see my August classes.

Here's the list of supplies used to make the Four Panel Print card. Order online...anytime.

On a personal note

I'm always trying to get pictures of my chickens. They never want to stay still long enough to get a good shot. I was happy to get them all in one shot today. They love me because I spoil them with treats!

Thanks for stopping by. Happy stamping!

Stamping with friends

Stamping News

This weekend I got to spend some quality time with my demonstrator friends Cheri and Lisa.

For the past two years, Lisa and I were roommates at the annual Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City, but this year we didn't get to go. So we did the next best thing. Hung out and some stamping.

Here we are showing off cards we made together.

The cards we made were part of our "shoebox swap." A shoebox swap is a when each person brings everything needed for the other people in the group to make.

Here is the card Cheri brought for us to make using the new Market Fresh stamp set and Farmers Market Designer Series Paper.

Lisa brought supplies for us to make this card using the retired Coffee and Friends stamp set. Such a sweet card!

Here's the list of supplies used to make Cheri's card. Order online...anytime.

Christmas in July!

Stamping News

Today I gave a Christmas in July class. I've been wanting to do this for a long time. I'm so glad we did it! I think this will become a great tradition.

We made 2 each of these cards. I had little kits made up for everyone and gave special attention to the wreath card since it was a bit more of a WOW card.

Here's the wreath card inspired by stampingschool.com.  It packs some great WOW qualities.

The little door knob is actually a Basic Pearl colored in with a yellow Sharpe Marker.

I added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to the berries to give even more WOW power.

Here's the list of supplies. Order online...anytime.

I was singing Christmas carols to myself while I was getting ready for this class. It's great making Christmas cards in July because there's not all the pressure to do everything else that happens during the holidays.

On a personal note

Today there was a fire that came close to my home. The sheriff came by and said we should evacuate. It was really scary!  There were helicopters and planes flying overhead and people driving up and down our street.

We live in the country so there's lots of open land with trees and dry bush.  Thank the Lord that it didn't get out of control and we didn't have to evacuate after all!!!

I borrowed this from a a friend...Note to self: Make an evacuation plan in case the need comes up again. Didn't realize how unprepared I really am.

Hugs & blessings,
Angela

Out with the Old...

 2015mayhop_badge

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May where we are preparing for the retirement of some Stampin' Up! products.  Though it may be goodbye to some very loved supplies, it will make room for the much anticipated new catalog products.  We hope you enjoy the Pals' creative projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Sherrie Gross at Stampin' Sunshine, number 25 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Here is my goodbye tribute to the lovely Apothecary Art stamp set. I think this stamp is just so beautiful. It's really easy to work with and lends itself to so many possibilities. I will miss it!

I used Baked Brown Sugar to stamp the image. I then used Calypso Coral ink to color in the flowers. The image is layered onto Calypso Coral card stock which was embossed with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions embossing folder.  There is also a bit of Chevron Ribbon in Calypso Coral added for contrast.  The card base is Baked Brown Sugar. Overall, it's quite a simple card!

The next stop is Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty, number 27 on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!

Pals SPRING HAS SPRUNG Blog Hop!

 2015marhop_badge
Welcome to the March Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating spring. This month we are featuring spring related projects for Mother’s Day, Easter or any other occasion that celebrates winter coming to an end.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Susan Itell at Simple Stampin on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

My project today features the beautiful Painted Petals Designer Series Paper that just says Spring has Sprung to me!

I really wanted to enjoy the paper by creating something I would use everyday...a notepad!  So here is the notepad cover I made to inspire me into spring-time thoughts.

Here's a closer look at the stamping I did using the Sale-a-bration Lotus Blossom stamp set.  I stamped the inside petals with Cherry Cobbler and the larger petals in Blushing Bride.

Here's the inside of the cover which holds a mini notepad.  There is also a matching pen that has a piece of the Painted Petals Designer Series Paper scrolled inside.

The next stop is Sherri Gross at Stampin' Sunshine on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.
