Saying Hello with Paper Pumpkin

I got a little behind making my October Paper Pumpkin Kit, but I figured it that it's still fall so I had time.

This week I made up several cards following the Stampin' Up! example. But then I made a couple of alternate designs using additional materials from the kit. Here's my first alternate card.

The color choices for inking the leaves was inspired by Tami White. The colors are so pretty together...Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Delightful Dijon. There's also touches of Real Red and Soft Suede.

Here's another alternate card.  I just moved things around a bit and added a few sequins.

Here's the set of cards that I made following the Stampin' Up! design. They're shaker cards. I sent them out to several of my customers as thank you cards.

Fiesta Flair in a Scallop Box

Hola Amigos!

Here's a box I made with a little Fiesta Flair using the new Birthday Fiesta stamp set.  I'm loving the cute lama and cactus. And the Festive Birthday Designer Paper has so many wonderful colors. It's perfect for a summer fiesta!
 

Here's a side view of my box. I made it using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and topped it with a piece of Melon Mambo 1/8" Stitched Ribbon.  I think it would make a great party favor to share with your friends.

 

A FEW HIGHLIGHTS:

• I love the festive color palette of the Festive Birthday Designer Paper that features colors Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turqoise and Whisper White. I chose to use Tempting Turquoise as the base for my box.

• First I stamped my lama with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock. I next stamped the cactus with Emerald Envy Classic Ink on Whisper White cardstock. Both of these images were cut out using the Fiesta Time Framelits. So easy!

• The Festive Birthday Suite is full of fun products and ideas. I love it!

Introducing the New 2016-17 Stampin Up Annual Catalog

Picture Perfect meets Pals Paper Arts

I'm so excited about sharing a little bit of the ocean in this week's Pals Paper Art Challenge. It's a simple design, but so amazing too. 

Here is the Sketch.

I started by stamping the starfish using the Picture Perfect stamp set.  This is a beautiful 18-part stamp set that uses multi-step stamping to create stunning images.

Here is a closer look at my Starfish which took 2-layers of stamping. I stamped the first layer in Soft Sky, and the second layer in Basic Gray. 

TIP: I used my bone folder to prop up the starfish which almost makes it look like a real one!  I glued the starfish in place with Stampin' Dimensionals to maintain the shape.

Notice the wonderful transparent layer that the starfish is floating on? It's an exclusive printed acetate card included in the Sale-A-Bration Memories in the Making Project Life Specialty Card Collection. I used the full-size of the card as a background. So easy!

TIP: The acetate card is glued down with glue dots placed under the starfish and sentiment.  That way it looks like the white flowers are "floating."
