Christmas cards galore!

Hi Kindred Stampers,

I just had to step-up my Pals Blog Hop card from last week by adding a stamped ornament.

Here is the original card

Ta da! What a difference just adding one extra element can make. The Ornament Keepsake is stamped in Summer Starfruit and cut with the Holiday Ornaments Framelit Die. Really easy!

I made several other cards using the same format. These are all made using the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle and Candlelight Specialty DSPThe sentiments are stamped with the Greetings of the Season stamp set (also available in clear mount).

Still don't have a Big Shot? Don't worry. Just add color. Here I used a variety of cardstock colors including Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso. These colors coordinate so well with the Candlelight Specialty DSPBut isn't that's the beauty of using Stampin' Up! products. Personally speaking, my time is precious so having the colors match up with the DSP works out perfect for me

Send me an email if you'd like the measurements for these cards. They are so easy to make!

We hope you have your holiday wish list ready because today the Stampin' Pretty Pals are sharing some fabulous cards and projects showcasing our must have wish list items! You've probably hopped over from Nancy Gleason's My Stampin' Space

I'm stop number 15 on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for Stampin' Up! products from the Stampin' Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track.

My Winter Wishes card is all about being simple and easy to duplicate.

Here I'm showcasing the must have Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper, but you can easily use any paper you have on hand. Yep, it's time to go through your stash and start using it up!

I used gumball green for the background layer and stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla card stock using the Greetings of the Seasons stamp set.

I could easily make 50 cards similar to this one using different papers from my stash. There are so many gorgeous designs in the Candlelight series, I can't wait to use them all!

Wishing you all ... a Merry Christmas
Hugs & blessings, Angela

UPDATE:
Here is a "stepped-up" version of this card adding the Keepsake Ornament. I think I like this one better, but that's just me. What do you think?

Thanksgiving with a French flair

I made these cards for friends and family using the French Foliage stamp set.  Somehow it doesn't seem right to make Thanksgiving cards using a french background. Maybe nobody will notice. Please pass the turkey and gravy, thank you..

There's a little bit of Champagne Mist shimmer paint (oops, more French) added here and there. I just recently started using shimmer paint. It's interesting stuff. I stamped the oak leaf in Early Espresso, then dabbed on Champagne Mist before cutting it out. Believe me, it glimmers!

Here's what my desk looked like last night as I assembly lined my project.

I'm hoping all your holiday card projects are going well!

Hugs & blessings, Angela

Holiday card classes

It's time to have a fun & cozy time making holiday cards.

During the month of November, I will be holding "express" classes every Thursday evening starting at 6:30pm. "Express" means you can easily finish your projects in an hour, but feel free to stay longer and enjoy the company of your fellow stampers.

The cost per class is $5 to making 2 cards. You can make additional cards for $2.
Place an order of $25 or more that night and the class is FREE.

We meet at my husband's office located in downtown Lower Lake. Email me or call me at (707) 972-1822 for directions.

Now I hear a couple of you saying… “I am just not creative.” The beauty of my classes is that I do ALL THE WORK!!! That’s right, I have already picked the designs, cut the paper, and set aside the products and stamps ready for you to use.  You just come and put your cards together. Of course you are welcome to C.A.S.E. my cards (copy and share everything), or switch it up a bit and make it your own.

I truly love teaching you fun techniques while giving you the opportunity to unleash your creativity! And I love seeing the pride in your faces when you finish a project that you made yourself!

Enjoy a fun, safe and creative night out with the girls!!!  Last week we had so much fun using beautiful autumn colors and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to make this card inspired by Stamping School.

I went to the Fair today and got some ribbons!

It was a hot day at the Lake County Fair today. I strolled into Lewis Hall to see if any of my rubber stamp projects were on display. Lo and behold I found them with proud little ribbons next to six of them!

What a neat surprise! I had entered eight projects in four categories: Paper Framed for Hanging, Greeting Cards, Tin & Boxes and Any Other Rubber Stamp Art.  I got First Place for the first 2 categories. How fun is that!

To be honest, this is a great craft for anyone who likes instant gratification. I've tried sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet and embroidery. But I could never finish anything! This is the first time I've had the ability to finish a project and feel a sense of accomplishment.

If you live locally, come to one of my classes! Paper crafting is such a fun and relaxing hobby. It's okay to start out slowly. That's what I did. I took a few classes, watched tons of You Tube tutorials and started out small. You can do it too!

I didn't enter these sunflowers. I just thought they were neat and so I took a picture.
