Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects that are “stepped up” by using textures or fun techniques. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
My card features the retiring Everyday Hero Stamp Set. I love this set. It's so super cute and there's so many things you can do with it.
The first card I'm sharing uses Melon Mambo and Basic Black as the main colors. The contrasting color is Pear Pizzazz.
The technique aspect of my card was really simple, especially since the technique is literally built into the stamp set. I believe the technique is called two-step stamping. I used it here when I stamped the word "WOW."
The process involves stamping the base image first, which in this case was the word WOW.
The second step involves positioning the overlay stamp on top of the base image to add an extra dimension to the image.
It may take a little practice, but it's worth it for the "WOW" effect.
Here I am holding the card for you so you get another quick peek at it. I think you can see the stars better on the background layer in this picture.
Here is another card we made at my card class on Sunday using the Everyday Hero Stamp Set. I really wanted the ladies at my card class to enjoy this stamp set before it retires on May 31.
